Description

Summary: Responsible for operation and maintenance of the bulk filler machine system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Performs pre-shift operational inspection to determine condition of filling machine.

  2. Sets up filling machine and related equipment for product to be run.

  3. Monitors filling machine during line operation to insure proper operation and efficiency.

  4. Troubleshoots and resolve operational /mechanical problems in a timely basis to insure an efficient, smooth flow of product.

  5. Monitors package seal impressions, integrity, and product giveaway.

  6. Changes film in a timely manner to fashion to insure a continuous, efficient flow of product.

  7. Performs product changeover(s) as needed.

  8. Performs preventative maintenance on a daily/weekly schedule as required.

  9. Maintains an open line of communication with production palletizer, and lead person/supervisor.

  10. Perform proper sanitation of the filler before introducing the product.

  11. Continuously monitors for abnormalities or inconsistencies in the texture, shape, color, odor or foreign material in or on the product.

  12. Continuously monitors for proper code date, lot number and operator code product to be packaged.

  13. Familiarizes self with all standard operating procedures.

  14. Continuously monitors for proper product temperature during filling.

  15. Continuously monitors the cup wash, ensures that it is on and working correctly.

  16. Continuously monitors the cooling spirals and investigates any problems.

  17. Keeps work area neat and clean at all times.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Basics mathematical skills are required (must be able to calculate averages)

• Food industry is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Must be dependable and be able to work well in a team environment.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED required.

Salary Description

22.49 - 23.74 hourly
