Kenmore Tonawanda UFSD Cook FT - Kenmore West High School in Buffalo, New York
Hours: 6:45 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. (6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week) 10 month duty schedule
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Good knowledge of the methods of preparing, cooking and baking food in large quantities; good knowledge of cleaning methods and of the use of cleaning materials and equipment; ability to follow oral and written directions and recipes; physical strength and stamina; good physical condition.
Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in the preparation of food on a large scale and completion of a standard grade school course; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of the foregoing training and experience. Special Qualifications: Must be Serve Safe Certified or have completed 8 hours of Food Safety Training from ICN. Also, must have knowledge of health, sanitation and safety requirements; must be able to create an atmosphere in the school kitchen that inspires fellow employees to be willing to work.*Must be available to fill in as Cook Manager for any kitchen within our District.
