Summary: Conducts Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) for Roswell Park clinical research studies to ensure compliance with Medicare regulations; develops a comprehensive clinical research study budget which encompasses all aspects of the research study; reviews protocol amendments for budget impact and revises budget accordingly; coordinates, facilitates and monitors the implementation of Roswell Park clinical trial budgets; ensures compliance with approved clinical trial budgets, Medicare guidelines and Roswell Park standard operating procedures by; interfaces with principal investigators, Clinical Research Services (CRS) Financial Manager, Patient Accounting staff, study sponsors (pharmaceutical, consortium, co-operative groups), outside vendors and Roswell Park ancillary departments; conducts budget meetings as needed to enhance communication and promote budget integrity; provides oversight to financial and procedural aspects of clinical trial; develops and implements processes to enhance compliance and promote accuracy; serves as resource for study participants and their families, CRS personnel, and other Roswell Park staff. This position includes a base salary and geographic differential. Total combined salary range for this position is $83,060 - $101,445 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
Certification Requirement
1. Certification or eligibility for certification by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP); or
2. Certification or eligibility for certification by the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a health related or scientific field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time healthcare, research, clinical research coordination experience or a related field.
NOTES:
1. Incumbents must obtain certification within three (3) years as a condition of continued employment.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
