M&T Bank Banking Services Operations Associate III- Closing & Collateral Hazard Insurance in Buffalo, New York
Overview:
Reviews hazard insurance for the Commercial, Business Banking, and Leasing portfolios.
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate flood and hazard insurance for the real estate assets covered under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and vehicle portfolios.
Interact with internal business partners and external insurance agents to obtain updated insurance information.
Generate and clear exceptions for insurance deficiencies.
Support regulatory examinations and reviews as requested.
Escalate deficiencies in insurance to more experienced personnel as needed.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
The team uses the collateral tracking system and Filenet and works closely with Document Preparation, Post-Closing, Compliance, lending staff and insurance agents in carrying out its responsibilities. Calls and e-mails are sent to insurance agents to verify insurance is in place.
Education and Experience Required:
Associate’s degree, or in lieu a degree, a combined minimum of 2 years’ higher education and/or work experience
Education and Experience Preferred:
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.11 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
