Summary: The Department of Immunology is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to support our graduate faculty and students. We have a robust graduate program currently supporting 25 predoctoral students. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting our teaching faculty including preparations for student lectures, exams, scheduling classrooms, assisting with student dissertations to include handling details for guest speakers, processing health insurance and tuition payments to UB, assisting with travel arrangements and reimbursements and acting as a liaison for the faculty, students and ancillary departments as needed. The Administrative Assistant II maintains a database of detailed student records and attention to detail is critical. The incumbent will provide cross coverage for other clerical positions in the department as assigned. This position requires a high level of initiative, ability to anticipate needs, and meticulous attention to detail.

Salary range is $51,305 - $65,202 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience

1. Associate's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or
2. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

We are seeking a meticulous, detail oriented, self-motivated individual. The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience working in an academic, clinical, financial or legal setting providing higher level Administrative Assistant support to multiple stakeholders. Records and/or project management experience along with demonstrable advanced experience working with Microsoft 365 platform (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams), a willingness and ability to adapt to new technology is also desired. Previous knowledge of PubMed, MyNCBI and grant submissions is helpful but not required.
