Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $23 - $28 / hour
What you'll be doing as a Machine Operator Lead:
Perform hands-on production functions as a primary responsibility.
Working knowledge of fixturing and assembly techniques
Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees in your team
Ensure the team produces the highest quality product possible
Shop floor scheduling to ensure timely completion of assignments
Act as a communications hub for the team
Be able to answer employee work questions
Maintain a clean and safe workplace following 5S protocol
Suggest and implement cost-savings ideas
Train new team members / Coach existing team members
Provide input in performance evaluations and appraisals
Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities
Interpretation of blueprints
Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measures, levels, squares, manual and power tools, forklifts and cranes to assemble to stated requirements.
Process inspection, certification, and documentation
Work in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements
Serves as liaison with Engineering, Sales, Management, and other departments as required.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Shift timings - 2nd Shift (Evening)
Job requirements:
Ability to run all equipment within the department you are responsible for

Complete understanding of the flow of materials, documentation, labor through department
Ability to motivate others to meet schedule demands
Proven leadership, verbal communications and interpersonal skills
Time management, scheduling and prioritization skills
Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and related management processes (FMEA, Lean, DMAIC, etc.)
History of managing a team
Participation or Leading of Kaizen activities
Demonstrated working knowledge of ERP systems
Background check and drug screening required
