At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're seeking outcome-driven, visionary, and customer-obsessed technical and functional business leaders/advisors to support and coach our customers’ journey to breakthrough results and sustainable value.

As a valuable member of the Advisory Delivery team focused on business enablement and transformation, you will absorb, introduce, and interpret AWS best practices, patterns, offerings and roadmaps to enable customers within an industry vertical (current list here) and/or in a business function (e.g. Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing, Logistics, R&D, Sales, HR, Legal, Compliance, Customer Support, et al.) to succeed in their own unique digital transformation journey powered by AWS.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage C-level IT and business executives to get alignment on and drive strategic initiatives

• Identify business and IT drivers of cloud adoption and collaboratively design strategy and roadmap

• Develop and optimize business processes associated with cloud adoption to maximize benefits and quantifiable improvement in business

• Design and deliver technical solutions that solve for new levels of complexity, scale and performance, leading to breakthrough innovations

• Support orchestrated adoption and execution of strategy, operations, and process design

• Assist in planning and executing organizational change management to drive buy-in across diverse customer stakeholders

• Develop compelling business case to enable cost optimization

• Develop network of internal AWS teams and partners as well as external customer teams to positively impact change

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise IT, consulting, and/or engineering/development

  • Experience with engaging deeply with C-level executives to define and execute enterprise-wide transformation programs

  • Experience with identifying opportunities to scale engagements in enterprise IT professional service or cloud services

  • Strong background/ experience working with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g. SAFe, TOGAF, Business Capability maps, Value Maps) and management frameworks (e.g. ITIL v3 processes, COBIT, CMMI)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s/ MBA degree

  • 12+ years of leadership experience across enterprise IT and/or consulting

  • Hands-on experience with cloud migration initiatives as an AWS customer or consulting with a customer on their IT transformation

  • Experience in financial business processes such as digital banking, payments, risk management, regulatory compliance, and more, to maximize cloud benefits, promoting agility and operational efficiency

  • Hands-on experience planning and leading large-scale cross-functional enterprise IT change management programs

  • Strong background in one of the following methodologies: Sigma, Agile/SCRUM, SAFe, Value Stream Mapping, Design Thinking

  • Domain knowledge and experience in the areas of lean startup, digital innovation, digital strategy and/or product development
