What you’ll do:

As a Lead Tax Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the International Tax Strategy Group with various responsibilities, including tax compliance, international tax planning projects, tax accounting and tax audits

Your contributions will encompass support in all direct tax matters in Hungary, as well as support for EMEA-wide tax initiatives and potentially assist with smaller jurisdictions. You will coordinate the preparation of tax returns, support tax audits, and handle correspondence with tax authorities. Additionally, you will assist in business restructurings and M&A projects, and prepare tax calculations for the quarterly tax accounting process.

You will also monitor changes in tax legislation and international developments, analyze tax risks and opportunities for Eaton, and help to implement necessary actions. Maintaining open communication with business operations will be essential to understand their needs and assess the potential impact of changes on Eaton's tax position.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in accounting/tax

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a Big 4 firm, a reputable tax firm, or multinational tax department

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Hungarian tax regulations, along with a solid understanding of international tax principles and general transfer pricing concepts.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with a faocus on developing straightforward solutions to complex problems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • A collaborative team player with outstanding interpersonal abilities and strong organizational skills.

  • Proficient in conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Enthusiastic about working in an international and multicultural environment.

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and responsibilities while consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
