About the Function

The Supply Financial Controlling and Analysis team is a truly global and diversified department. We are contributing through the end-to-end Supply Chain from the consumer to the supplier. We are playing a big part in making our brands as we source, distill, brew, pack, and ship.

Here you can be truly connected to our brands and can get an insight into Procurement sourcing strategy and support their work with financials. You can be the Finance business partner to the Production sites and the Logistics team moving finished goods from the factories to the warehouse, then to the distributors or consumers.

Now we are looking for a colleague to join our newly built Africa team covering the Financial Control activities for Supply processes.

About the Role

  • Take full responsibility for the day to day management of the respective Profit and Loss & Balance sheet area from accounting, reporting and controlling perspective in a non-standard COGS environment

  • Decision support for business partners through value add analysis, thorough understanding of movements on accounts, the business reason behind those, and collection and presentation of Risk & Opportunities

  • Planning – Full coordination with markets, sense check and validate the bottom up results to the top down expectation

  • Prepare quality reconciliations through deep understanding of the figures supported, reported

  • Continuously monitor the respective P&L and/or BS accounts for any inconsistencies

  • Prepare and post accruals to ensure the month-end results show the clear and fair picture

  • To ensure that financial processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding internal control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with CARM processes

  • To contribute ideas, energy, enthusiasm and support to the continuous improvement of the process. Simplify and standardize processes across Region end-to-end.

  • Ensure smooth and accurate month-end closes in a non-standard COGS environment

  • Coordination of the month-end closure, yearly planning processes for the respective area

  • Leading the consolidation of country or function level data along with the required level of non-financial insight

  • Project managing of process initiatives and system developments

  • Liaising with external Auditors and coordinating the audit work

What you'll bring

  • University or College degree in Finance and Accountancy / Economics / Business

  • 3-5 years of experience in Finance / Financial Controlling

  • Experience in a Shared services environment is considered as an advantage

  • Excellent Business English knowledge

  • Strong MS Excel skills

  • Good communication and business partnering skills with senior partners

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
