Finance Lead Business Analyst

The EMEA Regulatory Reporting Citi Solutions Centre (CSC) in Budapest is a key part of the Finance function. It is Citi’s pioneering centre on a global scale where local regulatory reporting professionals work together in a central location to ensure consistent quality of reporting across multiple countries. The LRR Implementations team work on automating manual processes and managing change for automated solutions.

As part of the team of diverse and supportive professionals, the main tasks are concerned with automation projects covering regulatory reports.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze existing and new EMEA local financial regulatory reporting requirements in the context of system functionality needed and preparing the pertaining comprehensive business requirements documentation

  • Support BAU reporting teams and participate in the development of their processes

  • Monitor system development outcomes and ensuring, in a resource efficient manner, that they are fully in line with articulated requirements and that any differences are well understood and root causes are addressed

  • Ensure a sound change management process is in place and adhered to while proactively and effectively collaborating with stakeholders across Finance and Technology to achieve the targeted system development outcomes

  • Act as a knowledgeable and trusted partner to report production teams, ensuring client impact and feasibility limitations are well understood and continually factored into the prioritization of system developments

  • Maintain a culture of transparency and effective escalation, with special regards to regulator or technology mandated projects

  • Coach junior team members and nurturing a culture that challenges the status quo and embraces the utilization of new digital tools and change management methodologies

What we’ll need from you:

  • University or College degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or a similar relevant discipline

  • At least 8-10 years of combined professional experience in business analysis, project management, financial regulatory reporting, or financial control, ideally with a strong understanding of the EMEA banking regulatory reporting landscape

  • Proven leadership skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Solid planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Confident ability to achieve objectives via working with and influencing others across functions and levels of seniority
