Team/Role Overview

As part of Citi’s Finance Transformation organization is charged with leading Finance’s efforts to provide accurate information of the highest quality to customers, shareholders and regulators, grounded in developing and instituting the most efficient processes to do so. R2R processes are comprised of those sets of activities that begin with defining and establishing appropriate data standards and ensuring readiness for consumers, standardizing the accounting and processing of transactions to financial systems, implementing a comprehensive set of integrated financial closing processes, which then culminates with instituting common and optimized financial / regulatory reporting processes.

International Controller’s transformation is looking for a dynamic individual to help shape the future of the Finance organization. The Senior Lead Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing standardized, target state processes, controls, governance model and organization construct for regulatory reporting and is accountable for driving the transformation to the future state model, ensuring standardized, efficient and well-controlled processes are in place to support the integrity of Citi’s regulatory reports outside the U.S. This role works with key stakeholders across Finance and other global functions to ensure appropriate alignment and accountability of activities supporting the automation of regulatory reporting processes.

What you’ll do

  • Participate in formulating and setting the strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture supporting automation of Finance regulatory reports, across Citi businesses, products, functions, and locations.

  • Design and implement global processes to automate non-U.S. regulatory and statutory reporting activities, leveraging standard technology architecture (e.g. RegInsight, Optima Aggregator, Full Suite, GENESIS).

  • Define reporting requirements for adoption of standard values in Full Suite implementations that enable automation efforts Partner with key stakeholders to drive minimum standards for Full Suite and Genesis integration prior to automation of regulatory reports.

  • Ensure local regulatory needs are captured in the development of global target state tools for automation Develop and report on key metrics to measure the effectiveness of non-US regulatory reporting, including publishing periodic updates to senior leadership teams.

  • Provide oversight of milestones and input to ensure consistent and timely resolution of deliverables.

  • Identify gaps in current process design and implement necessary changes.

  • Enforce implementation of guidelines and procedures with regional LRR teams.

  • Operate with a limited amount of direct supervision and lead teams.

What we’ll need from you

  • 5+ years of experience working in the finance industry, experience in Finance Regulatory Reporting is a plus.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.

  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of Citi’s systems and processes impacting regulatory reporting and books and records.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to directly manage a dispersed global team on multiple priorities and tasks.

  • Intermediate project management skills or experience in complex systems implementations preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to work effectively across a wide variety of people across functions, regions, and seniority to deliver results.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
