Job Description

A Test Automation Engineer is an advanced test automation expert with an E2E focus across a number of integrated systems and environments.

You are proficient at functional and performance testing.

  • Translates system requirements / user stories into a robust supportable design of code for the product / application.

  • Develops and tests the code to ensure it functions as designed.

  • Implements code across the software development life cycle steps preferring CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration.

  • Deploys to non-production, monitors, and maintains the software to ensure proper functionality.

  • Add new features and fixes to the software as needed.

  • Works closely with others on product, operations teams, and other systems that the software and services in which it integrates

  • Plays a role in architecture design of the application where applicable/appropriate (eg designing the cloud native architecture).

  • Continuously strives to improve the experience and performance of the codebase.

  • Keeps up to date on the latest software practices, technologies, and vulnerabilities.

You lead team of test specialists (functional and performance)

You work closely with the Test Architect and together within the Test Enablement team. This role is technical with people management.

Your responsibilities include:- Provide input on requirements and test cases.- Design E2E automated tests in partnership with test automation specialists- E2E continuous automated testing- Communicate results and advocate for defect resolution.- Continuous Improvement of SDLC and testing processes- Build E2E functional and performance test automation scripts both independently and as part of a team across nonproduction environments.

Job Qualifications

  • Certified in Tricentis TOSCA OR Tricentis Neoload

  • College or university degree, Preferred: Degree in Computer Science (Software Development / Engineering)

  • Experience with testing: Web Apps, REST APIs,

  • Experience in working with Windows Servers

  • Experience in the planning, design, management, execution, and reporting of tests using appropriate testing tools and techniques.

  • Experience in gathering test requirement from customers, PMs and reading technical documents, familiar with risk-based test design, knowledge of model-based testing and performance engineering, test case automation, test implementation and execution, good test resource/planning and knowledge.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, problem resolution, presentation, and decision-making skills required.

  • Proficient in at least 2 of these - JavaScript, Node.JS, C#, Microsoft SQL

  • Up to 3 years working experience with Tosca and Neoload in software development / testing
