IQVIA Senior Software Engineer in Bucharest, Romania

About you:

About the role

  • You’ll be part of a very tight, highly professional team comprised of domain experts, former clinical research practitioners and engineers tackling all aspects of our business and operations.

  • This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the software that integrates medical devices and clinical trial electronic data capture system.

  • Takes ownership of the currently existing integrations.

  • Analyses requirements from Subject Matter Experts and device vendors and creates technical designs to meet acceptance criteria.

  • Liaises with medical device manufacturers to obtain documentation, development tools, and support.

  • Develops the integration using high quality code standards and according to regulations applicable to health data.

  • Experience and familiarity with both desktop and web application development is a must. Our products use a variety of languages and technology to interface with devices and cloud platforms.

  • Create and execute test suites.

  • Provides second and third level support for device integrations.

  • This position can be fully remote, or office based in Poland.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, comparable field, or relevant work experience.

  • At least five (5) years related experience in Java, Groovy, JavaScript, and SQL, or similar languages to those listed.

  • Good communication skills for collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and engineers.

  • Experience with clinical trials, core labs, and/or medical devices is preferred.

  • Experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services), monitoring platforms (e.g., Datadog), as well as awareness of regulations applicable to clinical data is also preferred.
