Citigroup Risk Operations Analyst -Institutional Credit Management in Bucharest, Romania

Credit Risk Management Services (CRMS) serves as a critical component of our First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management and is a first line organization that is part of Institutional Credit Management (ICM). CRMS works through the challenges of the Wholesale Credit Risk Lending processes with the aim of transforming the credit risk process flows including but not limited to credit facility management, legal documentation, collaterals and risk reporting. The scope of responsibilities and scale of this team will evolve over time to continue to meet our needs. Importantly, ICM (CRMS) will coordinate with credit management groups to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices where appropriate.

CRMS covers the following areas:

  • Credit Risk Approval Controls

  • Credit Risk Reporting

  • CRMS Controls and Data Quality

  • Credit Documentation Review

This role sits within the new created global Institutional Credit Management (ICM) business which has been established with the objective to provide an integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management and monitoring for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.

What you will be doing?

  • Coordinates and drives Internal Control responsibilities across the various control disciplines

  • Determines and advises the cause of the problems that affect day-to-day functionality of the systems.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;

  • Prepares special reports as needed that are not readily available to the users by using the query tools available.

  • Works with other team members if required to provide efficient and timely results

  • Develops, analyses and interprets the data from the risk systems, making comparable analyses, recommending options and courses of action;

  • Works closely with other parties such as technology when required to resolve issues.

  • Provides Credit Policy advice and any query on Credit Documentation to Business and any related parties

  • Reviews credit documents and ensure that they are in compliance with Citibank Credit Policies and Standards

What we are looking for?

  • Bachelor’s/University degree is preferred

  • 2-5 years previous experience

  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independent of direct supervision.

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple business lines and levels of management.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
