Position Description

The role of the Senior Project Manager - Advanced Manufacturing Technology is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of defense-related projects for the organization that meet or exceed delivery expectations to our customer. This position will provide expertise focused on Infusing the manufacture of submarine and surface ship components with new technology and manufacturing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with Department of Defense and industry stakeholders. Lead projects from requirements definition through delivery of defined objectives. Develop and execute detailed project plans to execute and monitor projects. Develop subcontractor Statement of Work as necessary. Monitor project risks, identify potential roadblocks, and make recommendations to address. Maintain project documentation, develop presentations, and other materials as required. Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience. Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of objectives and deliverables on schedule and within budget. Provide project status reports and updates as required. Become proficient in BFA project management software. Work closely with BFA functional organizations such as Contracts, Procurement, Finance, Accounting. Represent BFA at conferences, symposiums, and industry events. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent project management skills, including the ability to define project scope, develop detailed project plans, and manage project deliverables. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels. Proficient in project management software, preferably Smartsheet and Asana. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for learning and development.

Education, Certifications, and Experience: Bachelors degree in business, engineering or equivalent experience. 6+ years direct experience managing and leading projects; relevant Advanced Manufacturing Technology project experience preferred. Experience developing a Statement of Work, managing subcontracts, and working with external partners. Experience developing Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, and Requests for Quote. Under tanding of or exposure to federal government contracting, including knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), and other government procurement regulations is highly desired. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required. Willingness to travel as needed for project needs and client meetings. Project Management certification or equivalent preferred. Earned Value Management understanding also preferred. Technology - Advanced Manufacturing/Robotics/NDT/etc.Understanding of manufacturing/engineering processes. o Experience managing manufacturing projects. o Experience optimizing manufacturing processes and introducing technology to reduce cost and improve efficiency. o Experience ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift 20 pounds.

Travel Expectations: Expected travel: up to 30%
