Job Summary
The Assistant Equipment Tech will work on small equipment such as but not limited to: 2 and 4 cycle powered walk behind mowers, riding mowers, trimmers, blowers, stick edgers, skid tractors, snow blowers, plows, and salt units. This position is also responsible for routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment. Performing tasks in grounds and landscape maintenance when not engaged with equipment maintenance is required.
Education/Skills Requirements
High School or GED equivalent required
Vocational education in small engine repair preferred
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
Maine driver’s license
Minimum of one year experience with 2 cycle, 4 cycle, and diesel powered equipment
Standard Work Days and Hours
Normal working hours are Monday – Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Evening and weekend shifts are required during special events and heavy seasonal workloads. Work required 24/7 during emergencies.
