Sodexo is seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas . An HCA Gulf Coast Division Hospital, this is a 200+ bed acute care facility that is known for providing exceptional care in a full range of service areas including: Level III Trauma, Maternity Care & NICU services, Diabetes Management Program, Heart & Vascular services and much more! The dietitian in this role will provide nutrition care to a variety of patients.

This position will report to Clinical Nutrition Manager and ideal candidate will:
Be a Registered Dietitian licensed in TX
Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
Perform quality improvement initiatives within the food & nutrition department
Educate health care team member, including physicians and nurses
Good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player
Have ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and use good judgment to make decisions and work within a self-directed team-oriented work environment
Have excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups and training skills to provide nutrition information to a wide variety of audiences
Stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications and standards of practice

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a master’s degree)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
