Mks Instruments Infrastructure Solution Cloud Architect (Hybrid) in Broomfield, Colorado

The Infrastructure-Solution Cloud Architect works with MKS Teams, IT, and business stakeholders to effectively create solutions in AWS/Azure cloud. Implements a cloud first strategy that aims to enhance business value and acquire new opportunities. Lead the design, development, and deployment of solutions on cloud.

This position is hybrid and may sit at our locations in Andover, MA, Broomfield, CO, Irvine, CA or Beaverton OR.

Key Responsibilities: Understand and develop an Architecture framework with focus on Cloud Services and On Premises. Negotiate and develop system and application solutions in Cloud migration and Cloud based projects. Lead the design, development, and deployment of solutions on Cloud and on Premises platform. Implement & manage cloud-based solutions using AWS/Azure services. Experience of working on hybrid infrastructure and solutions (AWS/Azure/VMWare). Works with stakeholders to support existing and new solutions. Keeps up to date with products, solutions, market, and trends and evaluate new IT opportunities. Design policies and guidelines related to infrastructure architecture. Participate to architectural board, negotiating and evaluating opportunities for the business and IT. Coach, train, and mentor internal and external engineers to follow IT Architecture. Develop and maintain the Architecture Repository. Monitor and review utilization trends for cost optimization. Troubleshoot architectural issues that arise in infrastructure environment. Knowledge of Terraform and Landing zone. Other duties as required.

Education & ExperienceRequired Bachelor's degree in computer science/Information Systems or other relevant disciplines 5+ years of experience in progressive infrastructure/software engineering domain Strong systems thinking, pragmatic and creative problem solving and analytical skills. Infrastructure Security experience

Desired Qualifications / Professional Experience IT Architecture certification (e.g., Togaf). AWS/Azure DevOps tools experience. Experience (certification) with Project Management/Agile development methodologies. Quality management certifications (such as Lean or Six Sigma). Experience working for large scale enterprise infrastructures and applications. AWS, Azure, ITIL, Terraform and other IT certifications would be added advantage. 3+ years' experience with scripting, especially IaC: Terraform, PoweShell or Linux Shell Orchestration frameworks: Docker, Kubernetes. Experience in Configuration management: GIT, GITHUB, Codecommit. Databases: Oracle/SQL Relation Db or Non-Relational database like Mongo. Storage systems knowledge. Experience in modern software development languages (TypeScript, Python, Perl).

Compensation and Benefits: Salary Pay Range: $78,400 - $145,600 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS (or as applicable).
