Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Hotel Meeting & Events Concierge for the beautiful Interlocken Resort & Spa!

Omni Hotels & Resorts was named one of the Best-Led Companies in 2024 by Glassdoor! Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa is seeking a Meeting & Events Concierge to join our outstanding banquets team! This vital role will work closely with the Director of Sales and Hotel Leaders to provide support for all aspects of executing a meeting/event. The Meeting Concierge will support the Banquets and Sales departments ensuring flawless events and communication to the appropriate parties. We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who love contributing to a winning team. Salary for this position (based on experience): $25.00/hour. Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Omni Interlocken Resort reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.

Responsibilities

Achieve goals as assigned by Director of Sales and the Director of Banquets. Point of contact for meeting planners. Added support to large groups when in house. Merchandise function space and attain maximum room rental wherever appropriate. Promote a high-quality company image by demonstrating professionalism to both clients and colleagues. Assist with weddings, annual galas, catering events and other social events. Event planning and detailing for booked events Maintain files and current trace dates, accurate history, and all relevant booking activity. Is current and abides by all hotel procedures and standards Coordinate Catering support services (flowers, entertainment, decoration, A/V, etc.) to provide complete client satisfaction. Physically double-check all function arrangements against specifications of client. Correct where necessary. Foster strong relationships with the local industry partners Ensures all departments receive necessary information pertaining to the meeting group. Verify contracted banquet meeting rooms to guarantee proper space has been assigned and that meeting rooms can accommodate requested set-ups. Conduct pre-planning meetings to include necessary departments when requested by client Assist in initiating Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) to review with the meeting planner. Attends required meetings including morning and afternoon Stand-Up Meeting, BEO Meeting and Department Staff Meeting. May conduct pre-conference meetings with meeting planner and all appropriate department heads. During conference, will ensure the meeting arrangements are to the meeting planner's specifications. Ensures all on-site changes are managed efficiently. Available to meeting planner during conference through phone, email, and in person to trouble shoot any questions that arise. Must be knowledgeable about all hotel capabilities (front desk/reservations/room service/catering). Other duties as assigned by Director of Banquets.
