MMD Medical, A Velosity Company is searching for an Project Manager to support our Swiss Machining department at our manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. Project Managers are key to initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes which are demonstrated by developing, managing and implementing project plans. The project manager builds team ownership and commitment to project plan. Project Managers will be responsible for leadership of product development projects and related activities for medical products. The scope of projects includes all product support activities from Quote to the end of product life for multiple concurrent products. Reports to: Engineering Manager The typical pay range for this role: $90,000-$105,000 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors. Generous PTO offerings & 9 paid holidays annually Clean, friendly, and air-conditioned work environment Great opportunities for growth & advancement Quarterly bonus opportunity A family centric environment that hires and develops talent based on our values Casual Dress Code Essential Duties: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, required At minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in precision machining Experience in project management, including planning, executing and closing projects Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) and validation processes Strong organization and leadership skills Project Management training or certification, such as CAPM or PMP, is preferred Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements in the medical device industry Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement Project Execution: Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to their skill level and risk to the project. Effectively lead team ensuring good cross-functional communications and provide input to functional managers on team and team member performance. Communicate with personnel in various locations and all management levels. Liaison between the team and the project sponsors; leads phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications. Track project progress and be accountable for scope schedule and budget. Identify resources required for assigned project activities using senior managers for assistance and build teams to complete the activities Identify and coordinate all activities required to complete the project or task through the team and ensure its timely completion ensuring current company policies and practices are followed and accurate documentation is kept. Develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines. Serve customers thru OTD and quality of project deliverables. Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules on larger projects requiring prioritization and workload adjustments. The ability to assess business risks and prioritize tasks among m ny activities will be a key skill to have for this position Identify, communicate, and manage moderate levels of technical risk. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Preferred Engineering degree. Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States. Physical & Mental Demands: Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 10 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment. Must have dexterity with hands. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information. Work Environment: This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control. This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Protective Clothing Required: When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
