Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future.Your role as an Internin theMedicalBusiness Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:

  • Develop engineering skills related to medical manufacturing of extrusion components.

  • Performing research and analysis of data collected from experiments and tests, using engineering software to model data or suggest solutions

  • Working with other engineers on design teams, communicating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that the product meets requirements

  • Developing new processes or improving existing by conducting experiments, performing experiments using computer simulations, or building prototypes

  • Communicating with cross functional teams or supervisors to gather information about project requirements or to report progress on a project

  • Conducting technical research to identify issues and propose solutions

  • Performing engineering calculations, including working with computer aided design (CAD) tools to design tooling, fixtures

  • Analyzing data to determine possible causes of problems

  • Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Attend Lean manufacturing tier action meetings

• Support of extrusion process production for Thermoplastic and PTFE extrusions.

• Complete intern project.

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:

• Have Received a High School Diploma or GED

• Are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering,Industrial EngineeringorBiomedical Engineeringfrom an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.)

• Have previous internship or large project experience is preferred

• Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience:$19.24 – 40.84 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Mentors serve as a guide to navigate the organization and provide additional support in their career endeavors at the company. Our program provides a holistic experience for interns that targets professional development and personal growth.

Our internship program typicallyruns from May through Augustand gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10–12-week program, interns will be provided with:

TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for Internship positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, theonboarding process will begin in Januaryfor interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
