Position Summary: The Data Warehouse Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization's data warehouse and related data infrastructure. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to ensure data is accurately collected, stored, and accessible for reporting and analysis. The Data Warehouse Architect will develop and optimize ETL processes, manage data integrations, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the data warehouse. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in database management, data modeling, and cloud-based data solutions, as well as a deep understanding of business intelligence and analytics. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance SQL databases, ensuring they meet business requirements. Architect and implement data warehouse solutions, including data integration, ETL processes, and optimization. Create, manage, and optimize stored procedures, views, functions, and queries to support reporting and business intelligence initiatives. Collaborate with IT, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and develop solutions that align with company goals. Optimize database performance by monitoring and tuning queries, database indexes, and other database components. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the database systems, adhering to industry standards and company policies. Support existing ERP systems and third-party integrations with respect to data warehouse needs. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and database schemas. Provide technical guidance and support to other developers and end-users as needed. Must Have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years of experience in SQL database development, with a strong focus on data warehouse design and ETL processes. Proven experience in SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational database management systems. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, including the use of stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning techniques. Strong understanding of data modeling, database architecture, and data governance best practices. Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and how to integrate them with a data warehouse. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy and reliability. Good to have: Experience with cloud-based data warehouse solutions (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift) is a plus. Competitive market salary from 100 to 115K/yr depending on qualifications and experience.
