Job Title: Shift Manager (Medical Professional)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced medical professional to join our team as a Shift Manager in a fast-paced doctor's office setting. The Shift Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, and coordinating the activities of medical assistants and other nursing staff. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong background in healthcare, and the ability to handle various responsibilities simultaneously. Responsibilities:

· Schedule and supervise a team of medical assistants and nursing staff, ensuring appropriate coverage during all shifts.

· Maintain an organized and efficient workflow within the office, optimizing patient flow and minimizing wait times.

· Coordinate and communicate effectively between medical staff, registration and call center staff, administrative staff, and patients, ensuring a smooth operation.

· Oversee the inventory of medical supplies, ordering and restocking as needed to ensure the availability of necessary equipment and materials.

· Troubleshoot issues that may arise, including technology-related problems and medical emergencies, taking appropriate action and seeking assistance when necessary.

· Train and mentor new medical assistants and nursing staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

· Assist in the implementation of office policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

· Provide support to medical providers during patient examinations and procedures, as needed.

· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new knowledge into daily operations and staff training.

· Collaborate with the hiring team in the recruitment and selection of new medical assistants and nursing staff.

· Assist in conducting semi-annual staff reviews and skills assessments, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.

· Facilitate staff development by organizing training sessions and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications:

· Certification as a EMT/paramedic, medical assistant, LPN, or higher medical professional.

· Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a medical setting, is required.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.

· Sound decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.

· Proficiency in using technology, including Microsoft Suite (Word and Excel), for managing schedules, creating reports, and maintaining documentation.

· Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and patient care standards.

Additional Details:

Working Hours:

· The Shift Manager position has regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend and evenings as needed.

Compensation:

· The starting salary for the Shift Manager position is $50,000 per year, increases contingent on relevant experience and licensure.
