JPMorgan Chase Head of CCAR and Capital Reporting (FRRA) - Managing Director in Brooklyn, New York
The Firmwide Regulatory Reporting and Analysis (FRRA) organization is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of financial and capital results to the Firms key U.S. regulators including the Federal Reserve Bank, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the U.S. Department of Treasury.
FRRA is responsible for over 100 different regulatory filings/disclosures spanning activities across all Lines of Business (LOBs) of the Firm and Corporate functions.
Additionally, the FRRA team supports the preparation of disclosures to the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) in the U.S and to local regulators in over 18 different countries internationally.
FRRA also has responsibility for the strategic External Reporting technology agenda for the Firm. This is a portfolio of approximately 60 applications with investment programs underway to further enhance the functionality and usability of the Firms key applications that support both the U.S. domestic and local reporting requirements in over 40 countries globally.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for overall report integrity, filing with the regulatory agencies, and oversight of the data submitted, including analytical review and analysis of the reports, report production and validation process for CCAR and capital filings
Ensure balances are prepared in compliance with instructions, and within a framework of robust controls and procedures
Design and follow a robust control environment with regard to regulatory reporting and executive attestation requirements
Work across the organization and build relationships across the Firms' various Line of Business and functional partners
Present results to senior management and represent the Firm in regular meetings with the various U.S. regulatory agencies to review filings, discuss potential changes to reporting requirements and review strategic process or reporting changes adopted by the Firm
Lead a team of approximately 20 people based in New York and Bangalore along with matrix responsibility for line of business partners who provide input to CCAR and Capital reports
Demonstrate critical thinking and execution across multiple stakeholders, a strong control and governance mindset, agility and quick decision making as well as strong interpersonal skills
Partner with different geographies to handle the demands of internal and external stakeholders, while continuing to drive process improvements with a focus on the adoption/utilization of new technologies
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field
Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, CFA
15+ years of experience in a large financial services organization within Product Control, Financial/Capital/Risk Reporting, Planning/Analysis, or similar strategy/analytical functions with a focus on analyzing/using financials
Exposure to / experience in external reporting for large Financial institution
Experience in managing, inspiring, and motivating teams, providing vision, creativity, presence, and credibility.
Experience managing complex relationships with various stakeholders both internally and externally
Ability to articulate a vision and build consensus
Ability to listen to stakeholders and recommend solutions aligned to their priorities, while ensuring they align to the Firm's priorities
Ability to synthesize complex topics into simple messages
Ability to prioritize and manage expectations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience driving business process improvements and technology enhancements
Experience presenting to senior leadership of the Firm and to external groups
