Description

We are looking for responsible, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSP) who love working with people in need. Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are responsible for assisting with daily living skills, socialization, community outings, medication administration and many other tasks Open Direct Support Professional (DSP) Open Positions in: BROOKLYN & QUEENS

  • Brooklyn 11233: 60 year old male, verbal but legally blind, needs assistance with moving around in the home and the community. 12 hours a week of Community Habilitation any 2 days of the week from 5:00pm tp 9:00pm and Saturday from 1pm-5pm

  • Brooklyn 11237: 18 year old male, limited verbal. 9.5 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab); Tuesdays and Fridays 5pm-8pm and Saturday’s 12pm-3:30 pm

  • Brooklyn 11239 : 28 year old female, who has 9.5 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) to work on independent living skills goal. weekend availability Saturday & Sunday morning after 11am; Diagnosis: intellectual disability and autism. Diagnosis: intellectual disability and autism

  • Brooklyn 11214 : 13 year old male, 12 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 3pm-6pm and Saturday’s 9am-12pm

  • Queens 11412 : 17 year old female who has 3 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) to work on independent living skills goals and 10 hours a week of respite for recreational activities to improve social and communication skills. Monday ,Tuesday & wed 4pm-8pm; Diagnosis: intellectual disability and neurological impairment.

  • Brooklyn 11230: 16 year old male, 9 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) , open schedule during the week after 4 pm

  • Queens 11355 : 11 year old female, who has 16 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) to work on independent living skills goal, Monday - Friday after 4pm. Mandarin DSP

  • Brooklyn 11238 : 54 year old female who has 9.5 hours a week of respite and 9.5 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) . Saturday & Sunday starting 9 am- 3 pm, JW church and must go on Sundays Diagnosis: intellectual disability, epilepsy and disorder of central nervous system

  • Queens:11434 : 14 year old male; 6 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) and 10.5 hours a week of respite, schedule 6am-8am Monday - Friday (optional schedule to get more hours) and 6:00pm-8:30pm Monday - Friday (mandatory schedule)

  • Brooklyn 11239 : 11 year old male, who has 10 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) to work on independent living skills goal. Provider must be flexible with changes in schedule and have weekend availability, but Wednesdays after 12pm (perm schedule)

  • Queens:11358 20 year old male, 6 hours a week of respite and 10 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) . Monday & Tuesday 3pm-7pm, wed 3pm-5pm, Thursday & Friday 3pm-6pm

  • Brooklyn 11216: 23 year old male who has 10 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) to work on independent living skills goal and street safety skills as well as money management and 6 hours a week of respite. 2-3 days of the week, after 3 pm

  • Brooklyn 11228: 24 year old male who has 2 hours a week of Community Habilitation (ComHab) to work on independent living skills goal and street safety skills as well as money management and 6 hours a week of respite. mon, wed & fri starting at 10 am

What are the RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Perform assessments on residents.

  • Teach residents living skills.

  • Communicate with staff to coordinate care plans.

  • Make sure that residents are safe and well cared for.

  • Supervise residents when they are engaging in activities outside of their room.

  • Create daily schedules for group activities.

  • Be actively friendly to residents, family members, and coworkers.

What is the EDUCATION requirements?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (we provide training)
