Metropolitan Family Services Day Habilitation Assistant Supervisor in Brooklyn, New York
Assist with supervising the day-to-day operations of the day habilitation site as it pertains to individuals, staff and program site.
Provide ongoing protective oversight to individuals in the Day Habilitation program.
Provide support for each individual in accordance with the Day Habilitation Plan
Develop and adapt appropriate materials to both engage individuals throughout the day and further progress according to individual habilitation plans
Daily Documentation Records
Maintain a productive and safe environment for individuals
Driving individuals in agency vehicles is a requirement
Ensure incident reporting procedures as per regulations and agency policies
Assist with following the vehicle maintenance schedule. Follow up with staff on any vehicle related issues according to agency policy and guidelines.
Monitor and update the vehicle trip logs, first aid kits, parking permits.
Provide a therapeutic and professional environment for all individuals receiving services.
Ensure that all services and supports are delivered in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures while adhering to OPWDD and all other State and Federal regulations and guidelines
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services preferred
Minimum two years' experience in related human services background.
Valid NYS driver's license
Supervisory Experience Preferred
Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
Experience in OPWDD programs strongly preferred
Proficiency in computer skills required
Able to assist in lifting disable individuals as needed
Work Monday through Friday; hours vary
