Central Amusement International Inc. Controls Engineer in Brooklyn, New York

Central Amusement International Inc. seeks a Controls Engineer for its Brooklyn, New York location.Duties: Perform assembly, routine inspection, and maintenance/repairs on equipment and systems such as amusement rides, games, electrical systems, automation systems, and lighting systems. Perform maintenance work on electro-mechanical equipment, following manufacturer instructions, amusement industry standards, and labor safety standards. Perform all maintenance activities such as predictive and preventative maintenance, work orders, and improvement projects via the Computer Maintenance Management System. Conduct inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of amusement devices include mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot and eliminate primary causes of downtime. Troubleshoot and maintain Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Conroller-5, SLC-500, Micro Logix, and Control Logix hardware. Troubleshoot Human Machine Interface/ Supervisory control and data acquisition system programming, including Allen-Bradley. Read electrical schematics, Ladder Logic Diagram, Process Flow Diagrams (Variable Frequency Drivers), Alternated Current and Direct Current circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls, and safety circuits. Direct maintenance staff and promote maintenance crew training, development, productivity, and the fulfillment of company policies. Record maintenance logs, reports, projects, service bulletins, and certificates. Coordinate logistics of equipment and supplies. Assist in procuring spare parts, materials supply, and third-party services related to maintenance. Control, organize and maintain workshop, equipment, and tools. Assist Maintenance Manager on special projects, coordinating all parties involved with projects; scheduling and executing projects on schedule and budget.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in electronic or mechatronic engineering or related field and four (4) years of experience as an industrial control, electronic or mechatronic engineer. Must have experience with the following special skills: Working with industrial control systems; Using electric measurement, analysis, and testing equipment; Knowledge of variable frequency drive parameter programming; Troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic devices to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the equipment; and, Knowledge of labor and industrial safety codes and laws such as ASTM or similar; Must be available to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. 40 hrs/wk. Salary: $117,624 - $117,624/year.
