House of Blues Comfort Station Attendant - Coney Island Amphitheater in Brooklyn, New York

Job Summary

THE ROLE:

The Comfort Station Attendant will maintain venue cleanliness in an efficient, professional manner and contribute to an excellent guest experience. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the bathrooms throughout the venue.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform routine maintenance on restrooms throughout the venue

  • Keep venue bathrooms clean and free of food, trash, and other obstacles throughout shift

  • Be knowledgeable of the entire venue campus

  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner

  • Respond to calls from staff for spills, bodily fluids within the bathrooms

  • Follow housekeeping standards per policy

  • Ensure that trash cans are clean, free of odor, and lined in the restrooms

  • Refill toilet paper, paper towel, sanitary napkin and soap dispensers

  • Cleans and polishes hardware such as doors, woodwork, door handles, push plates, kick plates, metal handrails, cigarette urns and drinking fountains

  • Maintains adequate supply of cleaning equipment, materials and supplies

  • Uses cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, squeegees, cleaning cloths, sponges, pails, brushes, vacuum cleaners, etc.

  • Removes wastepaper baskets and containers, and empties same into trash containers and cleans area after trash has been picked up

  • Reports all repairs required and safety and fire hazards to supervisor

  • Observes safety standards and practices

  • Performs related duties as required or assigned within job classification

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Detail-oriented and team player with a positive “can-do” attitude

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Availability to include non-show days, nights, weekends, and even holidays

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work environment is fast-paced

  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and working on your feet

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques

  • Tolerance of loud noises

    The expected compensation for this position in NYC is:

$15.00 USD - $18.15 Hourly

The expected compensation for this position in Westchester is

$15.00 - $18.15 Hourly
