JOB DESCRIPTION
The Carpenter, under the direct supervision, will assist in performing shipyard facility carpentry projects along with shipyard production carpentry projects. Relies on direct supervision to plan and accomplish goal.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2 years of carpentry experience Spanish speaking a must. Ability to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to coworkers. Mathematical skills necessary to do material and labor.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in performing inspection, repair, modification, construction and maintenance of structures used in the production department and the facility department. Exhibit proficiency in reading blueprints Assist in the provision of reliable service of carpentry structures that will allow the shipyard to meet availability targets Follow environmental and safety regulations and act in compliance with US laws Ability to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to coworkers. Mathematical skills necessary to do material and labor estimates. Confer with supervisory to discuss existing or potential projects.
HOURLY RATE: $17 FULL TIME:YES
