The Mount Sinai Health System Cardiology - Physician - East Midwood - Brooklyn, NY in Brooklyn, New York

The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking a full-time Cardiologist to join its thriving practice in the East Midwood section of Brooklyn, NY!

The physician will be joining a growing Mount Sinai practice that serves this rapidly changing, dynamic and growing neighborhood. Mount Sinai Brooklyn Hospital, located in the East Midwood section of the borough, serves patients from neighborhoods that include Midwood, Madison, Marine Park, Mill Basin, East Flatbush, Flatlands, Canarsie, Brighton Beach, and Sheepshead Bay. Candidates will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction. In addition, we would like our talented physician candidates to have a passion for Cardiology and be fully committed to mission of Mount Sinai Health System. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to partner with world renowned, Icahn School of Medicine. Mount Sinai’s Department of Cardiology is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care. The division embraces the mission of Icahn School of Medicine by pursuing an integrate approach to patient care, research, and education. We pursue all dimensions of these three components, considering them inseparable elements of the art and science of medicine.

Position Description:

  • Full-time Cardiologist

  • Work with a variety of specialties including primary care, cardiology, specialty care, women’s health services (OB/GYN), endocrinology and more

  • In addition to comprehensive medical care, the practices provides on-site lab and imaging services

  • Excellent primary care referral base with an established patient panel on day one

  • Serve a diverse population and live in a highly desirable neighborhood with excellent school districts

  • Practice has a close affiliation with Mount Sinai Heart and world-class tertiary/quaternary cardiac and surgical care

  • Mostly outpatient

  • Support staff: Medical assistants and techs (nuclear, lab, echo, radiology)

  • No teaching, research, or administrative responsibilities

  • Good quality of life

  • Competitive salary and benefits offered including productivity bonuses, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and malpractice coverage

  • Compensation range from 325K to 500K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Position Qualifications:

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University

• New York Medical License

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Nuclear Medicine is a plus

• Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve

• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills

• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System

Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.

About East Midwood:

Midwood is a neighborhood in Eastern Brooklyn that is bounded roughly by East 12th Street to the west; Flatbush Avenue to the east; the railroad tracks between Avenue H and Avenue I to the north; and Kings Highway to the south. The housing options are also pretty diverse here: there are both single- and multifamily homes, both detached and attached, along with plenty of condos and co-ops.

The neighborhood's appeal is undoubtedly its quiet charm and friendly atmosphere. Midwood is a striking combination of urban and suburban living. Its brick facades and tree-lined streets provide a respite from the bustle of the city while its shops and restaurants, particularly those on Kings Highway, are reflective of the town's growing diversity.

This is a waterfront community where you'll regularly see scenic cruise boats and fishing boats at the docks. It is also close to Manhattan Beach, Coney Island, and Brighton Beach. Good public transportation options with two subway lines and express buses that run to the city.
