Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Program Coordinator, Peer-to-Peer Fundraising in Brookline, Massachusetts

The Program Coordinator for Peer-to-Peer Fundraising supports the strategy and organizes the implementation of key participant-related stewardship, cultivation, and engagement activities for the Peer-to-Peer team, in support of Institute and Division goals. This role reports to the Senior Director and works in close collaboration to assign and monitor portfolios, manage weekly reporting and analysis, and identity trends and opportunities. The Coordinator collaborates with all members of the team to ensure all goals and KPIs are achieved and serves as the program liaison for the department.

The onboarding of this role will include a comprehensive training process which includes completion of online modules, shadowing colleagues, as well as hands-on learning experiences throughout the first calendar year in the role.

This position is considered remote, 0-1 days onsite at 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA each week. DFCI guidelines state that employees must reside in New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont.

  • Provides operational and administrative support in the development and implementation of program functions; staffs program meetings including preparing agendas, generating minutes, following up on action items and supporting related program initiatives and projects;

  • Coordinate development of monthly outreach calendar; identify highlights and key information across Dana-Farber to share with participants and their donors; assist prospect managers with focused content based on areas of interest and Dana-Farber priorities;

  • Prepares documents such as correspondence, reports, presentations, packets;

  • Coordinates weekly assignments of new participants; monitors portfolios; leads annual portfolio reviews;

  • Serves as primary point of contact for internal reviews of participant stories and coordinates reviews with prospect managers as needed;

  • Responsible for weekly reports on restricted fundraising efforts, outreach activity, and open action items;

  • Manages event-specific inboxes as assigned; triage inquiries and provide general problem resolution related to program with appropriate level of urgency

  • Provides backup participant management support when needed;

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Jimmy Fund to identify best practices and areas for innovation and growth;

  • May monitor budget, track expenditure, and handle financial administration projects as it pertains to the program

  • May work on special assignments and projects as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

N/A.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficient knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom, Adobe.

  • Basic experience analyzing, interpreting and reporting on data to inform programmatic decisions

  • Excellent attention to detail skills.

  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with peers, leadership, and external contacts.

  • Must possess the ability to problem solve with minimal guidance, maintain confidentiality, and pay attention to detail.

  • Excellent ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through.

  • Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies/ procedures where specified guidelines may not exist.

PATIENT CONTACT:

Interaction with patients as event participants and/or presenters at events.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is considered remote, 0-1 days onsite at 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA each week. Some travel, attending events as well as off-site meetings when needed. Requires light lifting for event set-up. Weekend and night work is required occasionally. Attendance at signature events required.
