In this position...
Lead problem solving to assist plants and implementation teams in resolving tooling, equipment and conveyor performance issues and downtime. You will utilize and leverage Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, as well as review and follow up on automation projects and installations.

What you'll do...
Coordinate resources to find root cause and fixes, manage and breakdown problems into items that can be validated. Determine proper validation methods
Handle setup and maintenance of industrial bar code printers
Utilize sound knowledge design and implement vision control systems. Familiar with different type of vision cameras and their programing software. Continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
Use FIS plant monitoring software to review cycle times of equipment, review and follow up project installations
Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements
Update program backups for machinery and automation
Program new installations of automation, machinery, material handling, and robots
As part of a team, review risk assessments and evaluate equipment safety
Assist in training manufacturing personnel and plant electricians
Read and modify electrical prints and schematics, Auto CAD
Maintain familiarity with OA, CPN/MPN networks and communication protocols for connecting to wireless and wired networks
Manage installation and maintenance of virus protection software for controls network PCs, perform PC backup disc images and installation of communication and firmware and controls software
Work overtime and weekends as needed
You'll have...
High school diploma or GED
2 or more years of Controls Engineering experience (internship and coop experience will be considered)
Even better, you may have...
Bachelors Degree
Electrical background (electrician or technician) preferred
Familiar with PLC/CNC (Siemens/ Allen-Bradley), VFD, Servo, Profinet, ABB and FANUC Robots
Solid understanding of laser burning
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, modify electrical schematics and use AutoCAD
Validated ability to troubleshoot equipment and continuously evaluate for process improvements
Experience with conveyor system programming and overhead Gantry
Solid understanding of networking to include DH+, Ethernet and remote IO
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping experience
Understanding of 8D, FMEA, and DMAIC processes
Familiar with TQM and Kaizen methods
One or more years of experience with MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
Knowledge of simulation modeling and visual factory management preferred

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.
