Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in Bronx, New York

Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.

  • Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.

  • Analyze workflow processes.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.

  • Ensure bills and payroll are paid accurately and on time, adhering to departmental procedures.

  • Process due invoices for payments.

  • Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.

  • Perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience as an accounts payable specialist or in a similar role.

  • Advanced competency in accounting and business management software (e.g., NetSuite, Zoho Books).

  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and industry regulations.

  • Keen attention to detail.
