Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Bronx, New York

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk based in Bronx, New York. The role involves various aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing and reconciliation, payment management, vendor relations, and system utilization.

Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and match invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Efficiently manage electronic transfers, check runs, and other payment methods for timely payment of all invoices.

• Assist in issuing credits, accurately documenting and tracking credit requests, and maintaining effective communication with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.

• Utilize skills in AS400 and other automated systems to enhance the efficiency of reconciliation processes and manage exceptions within the system.

• Maintain detailed records of reconciliation activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements.

• Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports to facilitate decision-making and ensure financial transparency.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable procedures.

• Provide support to the Accounts Payable team as needed, including data entry, invoice processing, and other administrative tasks.

• Maintain the confidentiality of organizational information.

• Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential for maintaining accurate financial records

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required for managing outgoing payments

• Familiarity with Check Runs is expected to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors

• Ability to perform Coding Invoices is necessary for categorizing expenses correctly

• Strong Data Entry skills are needed for inputting financial data accurately and efficiently

• Proficiency in Invoice Processing is required to manage and track payments

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential for data analysis and financial reporting

• Experience with Oracle is beneficial for managing financial data

• Familiarity with QuickBooks is advantageous for managing business finances

• Knowledge of SAP is required for managing financial operations

• Proficiency in AS400 is beneficial for managing a variety of business processes

• Experience with Quickbooks Online is advantageous for managing and tracking financial transactions online
