The Imaging Sales Specialist is responsible for driving the sales and profit of a defined product range, focused on increasing revenue by generating sales from new and existing customers through providing specialist knowledge of the product range. The product range is Amersham Imager CCD cameras and Typhoon laser-based imagers and their associated consumables. You will be working in a team consisting of Specialists for different research system towards Protein purifications and analytics. Account managers are in the wider team responsible for the different customer segments.

This position reports to the Protein Research EMEA Zone Leader and is part of the Protein Research group within Discovery & Medical and will work remotely to cover the Nordic & Benelux region.

What you will do:

  • Generate new business by working with our existing customer base and finding new business opportunities.

  • Your daily work will be varied, including organizing sales visits and product demonstrations, running training workshops, answering customer questions, running seminars and promotional events.

  • Manage sales leads and prospects using Salesforce Lightning CRM database and analyze sales data to aid decision making.

  • You will be empowered to manage your territory, set priorities, and create a business plan.

  • Understand customer’s needs and build strong, long-term business partnerships.

  • You will be encouraged to develop your career, supported with training, coaching and development opportunities.

Who you are:

  • MSc or PhD in relevant technical/application field or equivalent experience gained through working in the Life Science Industry

  • Minimum of 18 months’ sales experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical or R&D markets.

  • Knowledge of protein science is essential. 

  • Ability to comprehend Cytiva’s technology and relate this information to others.

  • Customer-centric attitude, able to balance the needs of the customer and Cytiva.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Previous experience giving compelling technical seminars and/or product demonstrations is desirable. 

  • Fluency in English both written and oral communication.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 50-60% of the time, customer facing, 1-2 overnight / 2nd week,

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Western blotting is desirable.

  • Ability to work effectively and enjoy being part of a team. 

  • Self-starter able to organise and prioritise workload.
