Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site support and maintenance for our equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various machinery and devices. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems in the field.
• Utilize tools such as soldering irons, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to understand system layouts.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement solutions for complex problems.
• Perform mechanical assembly duties in facility when not off site.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with IPC 610 standards during all repair processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients on-site.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including logic controllers and PCB design.
• Familiar with quality control processes and procedures and can perform inspections utilizing measurement and calibration equipment.
• Proficiency in soldering techniques and fabrication skills.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform machining tasks as required.
• Familiarity with reading schematics and technical documentation.
• Previous experience in a field service or technician role is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Due to the nature of the work, you must be a U.S. citizen and pass a full background check.
• Field work is primarily performed on Naval vessels in restricted areas and small spaces - must be able to work in/on any installation of our equipment.
