Aerotek Industrial Electrician in Brockville, Ontario
Job Description
Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades/installations on a 200,000-ton grain elevator at a port facility.
Repair and maintain all electrical systems on the site, ensuring functionality and safety.
Collaborate with health and safety teams to implement and follow preventative maintenance measures.
Read and interpret both new and old electrical schematics accurately.
Prioritize tasks effectively to manage urgent repairs and routine maintenance efficiently.
Responsibilities
Perform repair work on all electrical systems on the site. Work on conveyors, motors, grain elevator systems, PLC robotics, to name a few.
Collaborate with health and safety teams for preventative maintenance.
Read and interpret new and old schematics for electrical systems.
Prioritize tasks effectively.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in PLC robotics and automation systems.
Strong electrical skills, including troubleshooting and repair.
Valid 309A Electrician license.
At least 1 year of experience (including apprentice hours) in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in English.
Mechanical experience considered an asset.
Reliable transit as site is located in Johnstown !

Work Environment
Very large industrial grain facility. Inside the tower, it is dark and dusty with fine particle grain everywhere (not suitable for individuals with celiac disease).
Team consists of about 10 members, including a foreman, grain foreman, and GM.
Free parking available.
Location by the water offers a pleasant environment for breaks!
Monday to Friday. day/morning shifts.
