Health Imperatives Development Associate in Brockton, Massachusetts

TITLE: Development Associate HOURS: Full-time LOCATION: Brockton, MA SALARY: \$60,000-\$65,000 /Annual BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Holiday, Paid Earned Leave, Retirement, etc. We are seeking a Development Associate to support the organization\'s fundraising and communications efforts. Under the supervision of the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO), the Development Associate will manage the organization\'s fundraising/donor database and grants tracker, oversee the gift acknowledgement process, assist with the grant applications and funder reports, and help create and disseminate communications messages and materials. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Development Associate will: * Manage the full spectrum of administrative functions for the Development Team, including grant calendar management, tracking deadlines, and scheduling for senior staff. * Manage Health Imperatives\' fundraising and donor database, ensuring that all database entries are accurate and up to date, while troubleshooting any database issues. * Responsible for keeping accurate and organized donor, grant, funder records; data; donor reports. * Track program progress toward goals and work with program staff to support reporting efforts. * Support donor stewardship, including sending timely donor acknowledgements and updates. * Assist with grant applications and attachments under the direction of the CAO. * Support relationships with external stakeholders such as partners or the media, including fielding calls and email inquiries * Conduct prospect research to identify potential new sources of funding. * Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors, including recording meeting minutes. * Provide support to advertising and marketing efforts, including assisting in the production of communications materials. * Manage logistics of fundraising mailings such as invitations, donor updates, or appeal letters. * Create reports and utilize database dashboards to analyze fundraising progress, direct mail responses and campaigns. * Track and monitor communications and social media metrics (e.g., web analytics) and media coverage * Other duties as assigned. Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'s degree required. Three to five years\' experience in fundraising, communications, marketing, or related field preferred. Experience organizing fundraising events strongly preferred. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with an aptitude for working with and quickly learning software programs, such as Microsoft Publisher, Constant Contact, and WordPress, as well as donor management systems, such as Neon CRM. Excellent verbal, writing, and editing skills are necessary. Strong organization skills, time management, and attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate will be a team player and a creative problem-solver who is adept at multi-tasking. Must be able to work independently and be flexible in response to changing work priorities.
