Red Hat Senior Software Engineer - Python & Django (Ansible) in Brno, Czech Republic
The Red Hat Ansible Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Services team. As a member of this dynamic team, you will contribute to and support the Ansible Automation Platform (https://www.redhat.com/en/technologies/management/ansible) , working closely with other agile teams to deliver value to our customers across the globe. What you’ll do
Develop secure, reliable and scalable applications using Python and Django
Contribute to the design, development and testing of the Ansible Automation Platform and it’s upstream projects
Define, review and execute technical best practices
Help and develop peers through knowledge sharing, mentoring and collaboration
Work with peer teams to coordinate changes and mitigate risks to our delivery pipelines
Participate in product release cycles, deploying code to staging and production environments, integrating with CI/CD tooling and monitoring
Work with customers and assist them by debugging issues
What you’ll bring
Practical development experience in a language like Go, Java or Python; expertise in at least one of the programming languages to build enterprise applications and/or backend services/applications
Familiarity with frameworks, libraries, or SDKs for your language of choice
Experience building RESTful API’s and working with clients that consume them
Background in Linux or UNIX operating systems, CI/CD pipelines
Experience writing reliable enterprise-grade software
Experience working with a globally distributed team and communicating between different teams
Ability to examine various technological areas deeply and deliver solutions
Willingness to learn new technologies and make an impact
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Things considered a plus
Familiarity with Red Hat’s Ansible Automation Platform
Experience integrating Redis or similar platforms into applications
Experience with container-related technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.), virtualization, or distributed systems
Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure
Experience using Ansible as an automation tool
Familiarity with the agile methodology and scrum to deliver software solutions
