The Business unit Technology, Consulting & Implementation Services (TC&IS) brings together professionals worldwide who advise, design, build, migrate and transform IT infrastructures, complex systems & architectures and fundamental services on which the world relies.

We act as a trusted advisors to manage the application assessment/discovery and decomposition to develop the Current Operational Model documentation. Assist the Lead Architect in definition of move method and Future State operation model documentation. Serve as point of contact for client applications and associated migration questions. The Cloud Migration & Modernization Specialist should have a good understanding of application architectures, application dependencies, middleware, databases, containerization (e.g. OpenShift, Kubernetes, ... ) & Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP) with related migration tools and approach, leveraging his Agile mindset and applying it effectively.

Your Role and Responsibilities :

Client Migration & Modernization Technical Solutioner (CMM TSM) job is a Client facing Job Role, and the work is interesting and varied. Technical Solution Managers work with our sales teams to create winning solutions that will offer the client value and, just as important, solutions that are technically viable and profitable for IBM. TSMs ensure that we propose only what we can deliver, that we identify and manage risk, optimising our solutions by incorporating standard service products and by using global delivery wherever possible in our proposed solutions. CMM TSM's specialise in producing solutions relating to the migration and modernization of our customer's environment, predominantly to Public and Hybrid Cloud environments but on occasion to On Prem environments also.

Naturally, the job also comes with all the pressures that you would expect in a commercial environment, working on large and complex bids. Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Multi- Cloud skills : Solution design and development based on at least one of the most common offerings (AWS, Azure, Google, Red Hat Open-Shift, Red Hat Ansible, IBM Public Cloud).

Certification(s) Cloud based (e.g. AWS, Microsoft, RedHat, IBM Cloud) are a valid added bonus.

Leadership: provide guidance to Architect's regarding the solution strategy and scope. Provide guidance to management on issues and suggested resolutions. Take E2E ownership of the complete technical solution and costing, including managing inputs from business partners and suppliers.

Communications: English, both verbal and written. Need to be able to communicate with multiple levels of IBM and Customer Industry and Delivery counterparts including technicians, managers and executives.

Sales: Strong in front of customers, good presentation capabilities, actively participates in the client proposals, responses, contract preparation and contract negotiations.

Financial skills: Able to understand business cases, cost cases, FTE calculations, financial models, etc.

Project Management: including Risk, Issue, Time, Change Management to include identification, mitigation and tracking.

Language requirements: Fluent in German and English
