Roles and Responsibilities

In the 12-month Systems Engineering Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of systems engineering from requirements capturing, system design and verification. You could be helping with gaining and maintaining network connectivity and providing support services to customers or process improvement using IT systems internally.

You could be working within a multi-disciplined team of engineers, reporting to the Control Systems Engineering Manager or you could be in Power Systems and Software function which involve liaising with external and internal stakeholders at the various stages of the systems engineering lifecycle for power distribution systems.

You could join Robotics team for a 12-month period to contribute to the development and implementation of robotic systems that enhance our inspection and repairs processes and product quality. This role is designed for a candidate who is enthusiastic about robotics, automation, and the application of cutting-edge technologies in an industrial setting.

You will support the business in meeting customer requirements, quality, timescale, and cost. Projects will include new applications, R&D and/or in-service product support.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field

  • Keen interest in Systems Engineering

  • On course or achieved a 2:1 degree

UK Security Clearance (SC) may be required and maintained for some of our placement roles. Due to the nature of work, some of these roles are restricted to candidates who are a British National, or a dual National where one of the dual nationalities is British subject to any restrictions.
