Specialized Recruiting Group Accounts Payable Specialist in Brighton, Michigan

We are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to add to the team of a company in Dexter, MI. This is a contract-to-hire, long-term opportunity within a company that offers growth and career advancement!

Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Schedule: Monday -- Friday, Onsite

Compensation Range: Up to $62,000

About the Accounts Payable Specialist: The Accounts Payable Specialist will process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

What You'll Do:

  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
  • Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry.
  • Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation.
  • Generate purchase orders when necessary.
  • Obtain and print signatures on all checks.
  • Assist Treasurer as needed.
  • Back up the Receptionist, including phone coverage, as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
  • At least two years of related experience required. Prior Experience in Manufacturing, Distribution or Automotive environment, preferred.
  • Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Systems.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
