Hiring Rate: $18.25 per hour

How will you make an impact?

-Transport people safely to and from the Day Program and community activities in a company vehicle -Provide opportunities for community access by attending and participating in community activities and events -Support daily living needs, including eating, hygiene, toileting, and more -Assist in planning community activities and events -Clean and sanitize a multitude of surfaces and locations -Complete paperwork required by department accurately and records in department database -Distribute medication to people safely and accurately -Communicate clearly with others in a respectful and professional manner -Assist people with mobility and transfer according to safety protocols

What training will we provide you? -NMCS provides extensive and ongoing training for all of our Direct Support Professionals. Employees are paid to attend these trainings at no cost to them. A list of trainings provided includes, but is not limited to: -CPR and First Aid -QMAP certification (Medication Administration) -Safety Care certification -Person centered thinking -Driving and vehicle safety -Shadowing shifts with veteran staff and supervisors

What education or experience would you need to bring? - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred - Valid Drivers License required

What knowledge, skills, or abilities would you need to bring? - Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written forms - Ability to use a computer and a tablet - Ability to use office equipment such as fax machine, scanner, copier, phone - Ability to work as a team - Analytical thinking skills to solve routine problems using common sense - Basic ability to drive a large passenger van - Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word - Basic time management skills - Basic use of virtual meeting tools
