NUCOR STEEL - UTAH DIV OF NUCOR CORPORATION SALES ENGINEER in BRIGHAM CITY, Utah

Basic Job Functions:

Design and Process Development: Collaborate closely with the Estimating Supervisor and Design Supervisor to refine and enhance processes and practices, ensuring the development of competitive design solutions on a consistent basis. Sales Support and Profit Enhancement: Play a crucial role in boosting division sales and profitability by providing support to builders and District Sales Managers. Engineering and Mentoring: Utilize advanced estimating tools and design software to perform engineering on complex project quotes. Oversee estimates and mentor quote engineers and estimators within the department. Technical Expertise and Customer Interaction: Provide technical support and guidance both remotely and in-person to customers and District Sales Managers, enhancing customer engagement and solution delivery. Strategic Input on Project Scope: Contribute insights regarding unique project scope requirements, focusing on business risk, product application, and economical solutions. Cross-Brand Strategy Development: Work with sales leadership across multiple brands to develop unique selling strategies that elevate project success. Travel and Flexibility: Be prepared for some travel (about 25%), often on short notice, to meet evolving business needs and project requirements.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school. Professional Engineer registration in the United States or a minimum of 3 years of structural design experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or a Canadian P. Eng. Previous Design, Estimating, Sales, or Construction Experience within the Metal Building Industry Excel, CAD, and Metal Building Design Software Experience
