Overview The Biology Tutor will assist students with tutoring needs for BIOL 3060, BIOL 1610, BIOL 2060, BIOL 2320 and BIOL 2420 at the USU Brigham City Campus. Candidates must have demonstrated expertise in the academic discipline to be considered and have taken a Biology course respective to their tutoring area.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with instructors about course materials to determine academic needs.
  • Be at work during scheduled tutoring times.
  • Create a comfortable, respectful learning environment during sessions.
  • Promote active learning in tutoring sessions.
  • Sanitize and clean laboratory.

Qualifications

  • Course proficiency as demonstrated by transcript and interview of committee members.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to relate to students and tutor appropriately.

Advertised Salary $10.00 per hour

ADA Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
