Robert Half Senior Manager External Reporting and Technical Accounting in Bridgewater, New Jersey
Description
This is a hybrid position - 2 days in the office and 3 days from home . Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, delegate workload, and provide guidance to staff. Additional preferred qualifications include experience in the life science industry, familiarity with general ledger systems, and proficiency in SAP, OneStream, and Workiva.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA certification
Experience:
6+ years of accounting experience
5+ years of public accounting experience
Preferred experience with a Big 4 accounting/audit firm
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
External Reporting:
Knowledge of XBRL electronic filing processes
Proficiency in preparing external financial statements and disclosures
Experience in compiling supporting documentation for quarterly earnings releases
Technical Accounting and Policies:
Monitoring SEC and IFRS accounting developments
Researching and implementing new accounting and disclosure requirements
Performing ad hoc technical accounting research and participating in special projects
Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience in the life science industry (preferred)
Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP (solid knowledge of US GAAP is beneficial)
Experience with drafting financial statement filings (10-Q/6K and 10-K/20-F)
Familiarity with XBRL and/or filing SEC financial statements
Proficiency in SAP (S/4 Hana), OneStream, and Workiva
Requirements
The ideal candidate would have a strong background in accounting, experience with SEC filings and SOX compliance, and knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP. Mandarin language skills (a plus)
