Join our dynamic team as a Senior Financial Consultant, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the sign-off for monthly actual case level financial results, performing the monthly Revenue Projection Process, and the monthly Expense Allocation Process. As a key member of the Group Benefits Data Management & Analytics team, you will actively contribute to transformative projects such as CLASIC, ePCM, Revenue Projection, and other FMG projects. Engage with stakeholders across Finance and Group Benefits while creating and maintaining financial reporting processes and metrics models in MS Access, Alteryx, and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the offshore CLASIC IT team to create manual journal entries and perform reclassifications and unposting of journals in CLASIC for Group Benefits products such as Pet, Legal, IDI, and HSSA etc. Serve as the liaison between CLASIC business team and the offshore IT team in production support and reconciliation efforts.
Conduct monthly analysis on D&U, non-admitted Assets, stress cashflow, case ID file, and post expense allocation reconciliation between systems.
Additional recurring responsibilities include DRM maintenance requests for Account, Department, and Product table updates, Balance Sheet Certification, as well as participating in Disaster Recovery efforts as needed.
Create, maintain, and manage a set of financial and broker metrics processes and models built in MS Access, Alteryx, and Excel
Jointly responsible for key cross system reconciliation processes in CLASIC (sub-ledger), and the monthly expense allocation process in ePCM to ensure timely and accurate monthly actuals, including maintenance of rule & prorate as required.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
Working knowledge and experience in Finance and Financial Analysis.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Over five years of experience with ledger/subledger and financial reporting tools.
Demonstrate problem-solving skills, analytical prowess, motivation, adaptability, and attention to detail.
Ability to plan, multitask, prioritize, and work with a flexible schedule.
Undergraduate degree required.
Preferred:
In-depth knowledge of group insurance products.
Knowledge in the general ledger, sub-ledger, billing, claims, accounting, reserve, expense allocation systems such as eGL, MetFacs2, GroupFacs, GRR, GDI, CLASIC, ePCM.
Hands-on experience with or willing to learn Alteryx, Power BI, Microsoft Power Tools, Oracle SQL Server
