Job Description – EHS Intern

Location/Division Specific Information
This position is within the Laboratory Chemical Division (LCD) Group of Thermo Fisher Scientific, based in Bridgewater, NJ.
Discover Impactful Work
As an EHS Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our EHS department. Your responsibilities will include:
Actively participating in daily Tier meetings.
Reviewing entry into the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management system and updating the EHS Heat Map.
Reviewing contractor activities.
Assisting with all aspects of waste processing and management.
Participating in investigations.

Education / Experience
To excel in this position, you should be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree or have equivalent experience in Environmental, Health and Safety; Chemistry; Biochemistry, or a similar field of study.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
In order to excel in this position, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
Capability to use diverse resources, respond quickly, understand the impact of changes and decisions, facilitate agreement, and build collaborative relationships.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows-based software.
Knowledge of chemical safety is a plus.
Ability to function in a constantly evolving environment and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
