SWCA seeks a Project Controls Manager - International, based preferably in the USA Eastern Time Zone or Monterrey, Mexico, to support several growing business lines. The Project Controls Manager - International will be responsible for leading and coordinating the planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management functions across global projects for SWCA's Sustainability & Management Consulting (SMC) and Air Quality & Noise business units.
This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining quality standards. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients across different regions and SWCA operating companies, adhering to international standards and regulatory requirements. This position may also help maintain relationships with international banking, taxation and other regulatory authorities, and lead or coordinate communications/interactions with international accounting entities and advisors.
The position is a full-time (with benefits), exempt and salaried position. Hybrid or distributed (= remote) work environments will be available for highly qualified candidates. Candidates residing within the Eastern United States are highly preferred.

Project Planning and Scheduling - Develop and oversee detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and milestones for international projects. Provide financial analysis for project bill rates and analyze project multipliers. Ensure alignment of project timelines with contractual obligations and deliverables. Monitor progress and recommend corrective actions to address schedule deviations. Support Project Managers by monitoring and analyzing active projects to strengthen profitability. Cost Control and Budget Management - Assist in the establishment of project budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow analysis. Track and report on project expenditures, variances, and overall project financial performance. Implement cost-saving strategies and provide recommendations for budget adjustments. Review and manage overruns and change orders. Lead project invoice review. Support specialized financial analyses on larger/complex contracts/programs. Support SMC Directors on annual financial budgeting Analysis, Reporting and Communication - Generate regular project performance reports (KPIs, etc.) for stakeholders. Communicate effectively with project teams, and senior management across time zones. Lead project profitability analysis. Support SMC Directors on progress reporting and quarterly forecasting. Team Leadership and Collaboration - Foster collaboration among project teams, clients, and subcontractors globally. Implement best practices, tools, and techniques to enhance project control processes. Train new and existing Project Managers on internal systems and processes necessary to efficiently perform their administrative duties in order to optimize project performance and quality. Drives compliance of safety policies and reporting requirements to ensure overall team safety. Experience and qualifications for success
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in project controls, with experience working in an international setting. Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, scheduling, and risk management for large-sc le projects (>$100K USD). Applicants must have valid driver's license and be able to meet SWCA's driver requirements. Preferred qualifications: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across different cultural contexts. Proficiency in financial and project control software and tools. Flexibility to travel internationally as required. In addition to English, Spanish language proficiency highly desirable.

An employee in this US-based position can expect an annual salary of $81,120.00 - $104,000.00. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
