Actalent Mold/Asbestos Estimator in Bridgeview, Illinois
Description:
Looking for an experienced asbestos and mold abatement project estimator. The position involves visiting several project sites each day and meeting with potential clients. The estimator will measure work areas and determine the amount of labor, materials, permits, etc. that are necessary for the project.
80% work is residential, 20% is commercial.
These candidates would have experience within environmental contracting.
The estimator will draft proposals and follow-up with potential customers. Proficiency in Microsoft Word is important for this position.
Candidates must have a good presentation, enjoying working with people and answering their questions about environmental projects.
Candidates must own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 1 – 3 years of experience in the environmental consulting field, with an in-depth knowledge of asbestos and mold abatement projects.
He/she must have a solid understanding of the various local, county and state regulations for obtaining project permits and notifications.
They send it right out to the customer. Position is very stable, average tenure 10 years.
